FAQ

Before making a decision, it’s important to confirm your pregnancy with a blood test to determine how far along you are, as this affects your options. We encourage you to learn about all your options: parenting, adoption, and abortion. You may be interested to know what each options involves and how each could affect your future (emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually). Please note: we are not a medical clinic and do not provide or arrange abortions. For medical questions, please consult a healthcare provider.

At PCC Toronto, we can share medically accurate information, help you explore your pregnancy options, and provide emotional support as you make your decision. You may also find Pregnancy Care Canada’s Options Guide booklet helpful as a starting point.

Many have found the following questions to be helpful guides: What are my long-term goals? What support systems do I have? What feels right for me given my beliefs and circumstances? How do I feel when I imagine each option? Our support staff can help you think through these questions at your own pace and without pressure.

There are two types of abortion: surgical and medical. Surgical abortion uses a medical procedure, while medical abortion uses medication to end a pregnancy. The type of abortion available may depend on how far along the pregnancy is and other medical considerations.

At PCC Toronto, our role is to help you understand all your pregnancy options and connect you with accurate information so you can make an informed decision. We do not perform or refer for abortions, but we can provide a safe space to discuss your questions, concerns, and  circumstances.

We can provide general educational information about abortion procedures, potential risks, and considerations to help you make an informed decision. We’re here to listen and help you explore all your options. Please note: we are not a medical clinic and do not provide, perform, or arrange abortions. For medical information and services, we can help you find healthcare resources in your community.

No one should feel forced into a pregnancy decision. Pressure can come from a partner, family member, friends, financial concerns, or other circumstances.
