Elizabeth was pregnant when the child of her father told her that she “had to get rid of it”. Seeking a new start and a chance at happiness, Elizabeth left her country for the first place that came to mind: Canada. However, she quickly found herself alone and unsure of how to care for a baby on her own.

Thankfully she got connected to the Pregnancy Care Centre where she found the emotional, material and community support that she and her child needed to thrive.

If you know someone who is in an unexpected pregnancy, let them know that they are not alone. There is help in Toronto for individuals facing an unexpected pregnancy. Others have been there and gotten help.
